Power Steering
Automotive power steering is a system that makes it easier to turn the steering wheel and control the direction of a vehicle. Power steering systems use a hydraulic pump or electric motor to assist with steering, reducing the effort required by the driver.
Early power steering systems used a hydraulic pump, driven by a belt connected to the engine, to provide assistive force to the steering. Modern power steering systems are typically electrically assisted, using an electric motor instead of a hydraulic pump. Electric power steering (EPS) systems use sensors and control units to determine the appropriate amount of assistance needed and provide smooth, quiet operation. EPS systems also offer improved fuel efficiency compared to hydraulic power steering systems because they are not driven by the engine.

Regular maintenance, including oil and fluid changes and regular inspections, can help prevent power steering problems and prolong the life of the system.
